What Has Led to the Social Networking Boom?

It started innocently enough, as people learned to mingle using the internet by connecting via chat rooms or even message boards (aka “forums”). However, this slowly progressed, and eventually blogs came about, and then, finally, social networking traffic sites really took off. Now, millions and millions of people have their own pages on social networking sites where friends and strangers alike can see what they are all about. This is just a natural extension of people’s desire to stay in touch, meet others, and share pictures and other information. Now, a person can easily see new pictures of friends just by clicking a link or two, which has revolutionized how people keep in touch.
