The Joy Of Gardens And Landscaping
My father retired seven years ago, and the family wondered what he would end up doing with himself. He was a workaholic, an elementary school principal who put in sixty or more hours a week, learned the names of every kid who went through his school’s doors, and, deep down, probably didn’t really want to retire. Or at least a part of him didn’t want to retire. But retire he did, and with it came new time for old hobbies. This included stuff like hunting and fishing, things he’d always made time for, but it also included time to enjoy his gardens and landscaping, something he hadn’t previous had much time for beyond mowing the lawn on the weekends. And when he was done, his gardens and landscaping were some of the most beautiful in town.
