Scooters Help Save Money
Many people are feeling a strain on their wallet because of gas prices. They can spend more than $200 dollars at the gas pump and will have to refill their car within the next week. A way people are relieving this stress is by getting scooters. They get up to 100 miles per gallon and only cost around $1000 to buy. They can pay for themselves within a few years. Because they use so little gas they are also helping the environment.
Cars put a large number of pollutants into the air, including carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxide. These chemicals make the cities smoggy and cause acid rain. Using a car to get from place to place around town can be wasteful and is often unnecessary; riding a scooter helps reduce this waste and allows you to enjoy the air and the ride to the grocery store or wherever you might be going. While scooters may be small, they come with detachable compartments that allow you to put as many groceries, books, etc. into them as you like.
Because they are so good on the environment and your wallet it is understandable that many college students are using them. The extra money they are saving on gas allows them to buy new supplies and buy food other than ramen noodles and instant meals.
