80s Madonna Outfits

The 80s Madonna outfits were a great influence on female fashions.

Madonna first appeared with short skirts over leggings, rubber bracelets, necklaces, hairbows, fishnet gloves, long layered strings of beads, bleached, untidy hair with dark roots, lace ribbons and head bands.

Lots of young girls followed the 80s Madonna outfits from her Like A Virgin phase. The outfits included brassieres worn as outerwear, tulle skirts, lace gloves and boytoy belts.

Madonna popularized gloves that were sometimes lace and/or fingerless. Also the many layers of beaded necklaces and the fishnet stockings. Then, there were the short, tight leather or Lycra mini-skirts and tubular dresses besides the cropped, bolero-style jackets. Black was the favorite colour.

Of course, most people remember the lingerie being worn as outerwear for women. Before this, it was taboo for a slip or bra strap to show in public, but not with the 80s Madonna outfits.
