The Earth Shoe Revealed

There has been almost 2 generations now of the throwaway society, and by heck have we used up some resources and spent some money living it! If there is one good thing to come out of this global economic crisis, and that is the shock we’ve all had on the value of money. Yes, we forgot how valuable money really was, and it seems there was nothing we couldn’t finance with plastic cards, bank loans, and store cards. That was until the credit stopped and we started to lose jobs, homes, vehicles, holidays, and so on.

It appears that societies around the world have had a wakeup call. We are to be more frugal, interested in quality products that may cost a bit more initially, but last much longer thus working out as better investments than cheap products. There’s also a wake up call regarding the planet and it’s resources. Clothing, such as the Earth Shoe, and other clever and sustainable everyday items are going to change the way we shop forever. Then there’s renewable energy for homes, eclectic cars, healthier foods, ad infinitum. Yes, it looks like we might have come to our senses at long last, but it didn’t come quickly!
