Benefits of the Family Health Plan

The great thing about Family Health Plans is that no one forgets to renew their insurance, or has to pratt around with individual quotes and policies. Of course, the family health insurance only covers the children up to a certain age from which time they have to fend for themselves. But what a lot of folks don’t know about their policies (and let’s face it, most of us rarely know all the details), is that many fully comprehensive plans will continue to cover the kids right through university if they go on to higher education.  It’s certainly worth checking out before looking at online or campus quotes for individual student health cover. The other downside of not fully understanding what’s inside the small print of a health insurance plan is that we may be under covered (sadly, too many folks find this out when it’s too late), or even over covered. There’s nothing worse than paying for stuff we don’t need, yet every year people pay for extras in their health insurance that they neither requested, nor knew about. Once again, this is mainly due to ignorance and the complicated structure of a typical policy, but if you want to get the best deal for your health buck, then it might be a good idea to become more savvy on the insurance jargon, terms, and conditions of cover.
