Artificial Lawn Installation Rebates

Buy Artificial Grass – Save $$

Key changes to the Southern California Water Smart program as of September 21, 2009, include:
* Rebate applications are available online and may also be available at retail stores.
* Funding is limited, and submitting a rebate application does not guarantee you will receive a rebate.
* Rebates will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is exhausted.
* Rebate reservations are not required.
* Rebate applications and proof of purchase must be postmarked no later than 45 days after purchase.
* Only original receipts will be accepted as proof of purchase.
* Some devices or products may no longer be eligible for rebate, and rebate amounts are subject to
change.
* Rebate checks will be issued only to the residential water customer directly.
* Purchases made prior to September 21, 2009 are ineligible for MWD region-wide rebates.

It was announced on September 21, 2009 that a limited number of rebates became available through the Southern California Water$mart program for residential water customers. Changes have been made to the program with the goal of promoting the installation of water-saving devices and water-saving landscapes such as artificial grass – while working with a reduced budget. Residential water customers are those living in houses or apartments, town homes, condominiums or mobile home complexes with four or less dwellings that are not represented by a homeowners association or property management company. When considering an artificial lawn installation be sure to check with your local/regional office for rebate specifics and requirements. Artificial lawn prices can be offset by these rebates – making your overall savings more substantial.

Rebate amounts may vary depending on local water agency participation. There have been important changes to the terms and conditions of this program, so please read the updated Rebate Information section closely. Check this website regularly for program updates.

Since its inception in July of 2008 there have been a record number of rebates resulting in nearly 3,000,000,000 gallons of water saved each year. The timing was critical as this was achieved in a year where many regions faced mandatory conservation for the first time since 1991. Sever water supply problems and expected to persist for the next three years.
